Hiking and walking
"Tobago
is an ideal island to explore if you don't want to feel pressurised to pack too
much into a single excursion. The island's compact size ensures no single trip
is too long and the laid back atmosphere encourages you to linger along the way
- admiring the views, stopping to swim, or chat with the locals."
National Geographic Traveller the Caribbean
You can explore with organised groups
or arrange your own personal guide for a more individual experience. The hiking
is excellent on the main forest ridge that is 29 km (18 miles) long, with
elevations up to 640 meters (2100 feet) and scenic, well-maintained trails exist
on just about every part of the island. There is a mixture of terrains and
trails of various length and difficulty.
