How to get there
American Airlines, BWIA International,
Air Canada, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Excel Airlines and Westernair all fly to Tobago. The flights are from New York, London,
Miami, and Toronto. Some flights are direct and others connecting
through San Juan, Barbados, Antigua, St Lucia, or Trinidad.
It is only a short hop (15 mins) from Trinidad to Tobago,
and there are approximately 9 flights daily. There are now
new flights by Lauda Air from Austria, Martin Air from Amsterdam,
and Condor from Germany.

- Money The local currency is the TT $ dollar (very approximately £1
sterling = TT$10, US$1 = TT$6, €1 = TT$6.5). US dollars are accepted everywhere.
- Electricity 110 volts and 220 volts. The electrical fixtures are US
standard. For other visitors an international adaptor is needed.
Health
Guide books advise that immunizations are not necessary.
Do bring good quality/ high factor sun cream, anti-septic
spray and plasters (as cuts heal more slowly in the heat)
as well as insect repellent and treatment cream.
Getting around A car is essential and you will need to take
a valid driving licence with you - a photo copy will not be
acceptable. Driving is on the left and speed limits are well
sign posted. Petrol (gas) is cheap and there are many companies
offering car hire. It is easy to explore Tobago by road. All
sights are reachable from anywhere on the island in a day's
drive.
